Casual Leave is one of the most commonly used leave types across Indian organizations. Employees are typically granted 7 to 12 days of casual leave per year, depending on company policy and applicable state laws. Unlike earned leave, casual leave generally cannot be carried forward to the next year — unused CL lapses at the end of the leave cycle. It is meant for sudden, unforeseen personal needs and is usually not meant to be taken in conjunction with other leave types.
