What this site and the Birch app keep in your browser, and why.
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar storage (such as localStorage) are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser. Essential ones make the site work. Optional ones, such as analytics, need your permission.
2. On birchspace.co
The website uses no optional cookies today. It keeps one thing in your browser:
- theme (localStorage): remembers light or dark mode. Essential.
3. In the Birch app
app.birchspace.co sets a session cookie when you sign in so you stay signed in, for up to 7 days. It is essential and cannot be switched off.
4. Your choices
If we add optional cookies, we will ask first, and Reject will be as easy as Accept. You can change your choice at any time, and you can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
